Southport: Lord Street

A busy bus scene in Southport's Lord Street, with Arriva North West 3082 on service 46 to Carr Lane. All photo's in this set were taken on 5th January 2016.

Arriva North West 3040 on the west side of Lord Street. 

Arriva North West operate a regular service 47 to Liverpool, which in this case was operated by 3044. 

Cumfy Bus also operate local services in Southport. MX08 DJE en-route to Fleetwood Road. 

Lord Street can be quite busy with traffic at times as seen above. Arriva North West 3039 in the queue.

4583 was being used as a driver changeover bus by Arriva North West. The drivers swapping buses with the one behind. 

Service 49 to Crossens was being operated by Arriva North West 2622.

Liverpool Lime Street

Approaching Queen Square Bus Station is Arriva North West 3055.

Almost in the same spot as the previous photo, but on service 14 to Mann Island is Arriva North West 3052.

Bus or the taxi? On your marks, get set, go! Immediately outside Lime Street station is Arriva North West 4569 on its way to Dale Street. 

Wigan Bus Station

Diamond Bus North West, 20902, on what was a wet day!

Arriving at Wigan Bus Station is Arriva North West 2690. 

Parked at the Bus Station was Stagecoach 36786. 

Glasson Dock, Knott End & Cleveleys

The 11:10 Lancaster to Knott End service, waits time at Glasson Dock. Grateful thanks to the Fleetwood-based driver for giving me the chance to hop off the bus, 47327, to take the photograph. This service 89H, is one of several which will lose it's County Council subsidy as from 2nd April, and will therefore be axed. All photographs in this set were taken today - 27th January 2016. 

47327 again, this time at Knott End, where the bus would continue on service 86 to Fleetwood. There was just one other passenger apart from myself at this point.

I left the Fleetwood service at Cleveleys Bus Station, where 47674 arrived shortly after. 

Blackpool Transport 528 on the half-hourly Cleveleys Bus Station to Lytham service 7. 

Half an hour after the previous photograph, I caught Blackpool Transport 531 as far as Blackpool Market Street. 

Liverpool One Bus Station

This was a first ever visit to the Liverpool One Bus Station for me. Arriva North West 4560 is off to the John Lennon Airport. All photo's in this set were taken on 19th January 2016.  

Stagecoach Merseyside, South Lancashire, 27775, on service 10A to St. Helens. 

Operating service 79 to Halewood was Arriva North West 4574. 

It was a damp, overcast day, as can be seen from the above photo of 34808. 

Arriva North West 4604 leaves the bus station for St Helens. 

On a local service 82 to Speke, is Arriva North West 4445.  

Arriving at the Liverpool One Bus Station is Arriva North West 3061. 

Preston Bus Station

Preston Bus 40620 leaving Preston Bus Station. Since the photo's were all taken on 10th November 2015, this side of the bus station has been closed due to safety reasons. It was damaged in the high winds. 

Almost at the same spot as the previous photo is Stagecoach 27116, branded for service 3. 

47328 on service 109A to Chorley. 

Preston Bus 20704.  

The regular service 3 to Tanterton was operated by Preston Bus 40583. 

Preston Bus serve Myerscough College with service 437. Solo 20771 waiting to depart. 

Stagecoach and Preston Bus both operate to Moor Nook. Stagecoach 47330 awaits departure.  

34780 was on the long, and far from direct run to Wigan on service 113. 

As mentioned above, Preston Bus serve Moor Nook as well, as seen with 30910. 

Accrington Peel Street Bus Station

There are a good variety of bus operators to be seen in Accrington, Peel Street Bus Station and surrounding roads. A new build bus station should be completed later this year, near the railway station. The above photograph shows Lancashire United Versa 274 heading along Peel Street. All photographs in this set were taken on 23rd January 2016. 

On the X41 from Manchester to Blackburn is Lancashire United 2753. 

M & M Coaches of Accrington operate some old vehicles on their services, including N201 UHH, which was formerly with Stagecoach Cumberland.

The X41 service again, this time going to Manchester from Blackburn and operated by Lancashire United 2757. 

Boomerang are part of the Pilkington Bus of Accrington fleet. S451 WAT pictured waiting time in a street behind the main bus stands, was formerly with Ashford Luxury Coaches, It was operating the Dill Hall Circular. 

R846 VEC is in the Pilkington fleet and about to set off from Accrington for Great Harwood. 

Possible bus service cuts from April 2016. 

Rosso (Rossendale Transport), fleet no. 100 was formerly in the fleet of Moffat and Williamson of Gauldry.

Liverpool: St. Thomas Street

A number of services start, or serve St. Thomas Street, Liverpool. Arriva North West 6003 is photographed on service 487 to Ness Gardens. All photographs in this set were taken on 19th January 2016.

In Cross River livery and heading for New Brighton, is Arriva North West 4533.

Service 471 to Heswall was operated by Arriva North West 4535.  

Arriva North West 4628 on the service for Netherton.
