Lancaster: Chapel Street

Chapel Street, Lancaster, like the Bus Station was under water at the weekend, with properties and businesses being flooded. With the Bus Station still closed, Chapel Street was one of the temporary stops being used by Stagecoach Cumbria, North Lancashire for the services in and around the city. 27743 is seen on service 3A to Lancaster University. All photo's in this set were taken on 8th December 2015.
Also parked in Chapel Street was this Setra, BN09 FXE, operated by Shearings Holidays.
15698 makes its way along Chapel Street. Seems incredible that only hours before, this area was covered in flood water.
47753 was to be used on service 7 to Vale.
The plastic box in front of 27746 was to block off the parking spot in front of one of the shops which was being gutted internally following flood damage.
You don't normally see a bus parked on this side of Chapel Street. 22826 was 'not in service.'
In virtually the same spot as 27746, photographed above, was 10016 on service 2 to Higher Heysham.
