Blackpool: UK Coach Rally 2016: Part 1

This was the first time I have attended the UK Coach Rally, and with the annual event returning to Blackpool this year, it provided the ideal opportunity go along yesterday, in perfect sunny weather. The coaches were on display on the Promenade near the Metropole Hotel in the morning and early afternoon, where driving tests took place as well. Later on, they were driven to a prime spot to be displayed opposite Blackpool Tower. All photo's in this set were taken in the former location, the first of which is of B11 CTT, operated by Cooper's Tourmaster Travel of Bedlington, Northumberland.
Bensons of Stourbridge entered B1 BTL.  The coaches were well parked and spaced for photographs, in what proved to be an excellent day. I would certainly go again - weather permitting - if the event returns to Blackpool.
5 JLX was entered by Jeakins of Thorpe, Surrey.
Parked alongside the War Memorial near the North Pier was WA58 EOD enter by Safeguard Coaches, Guildford.
This was a very friendly event with a great atmosphere. A Welsh entry was BU16 GZF operated by Gibbons from Bedlinog, Treharris.
RB16 ANT was a brand new addition to the fleet of Anthony's Travel, Runcorn.
Another new vehicle on show in the Ormskirk-based, Holmeswood Coaches (also well known ales agents), livery, was HC15 HWC.
Unplated and waiting to be purchased or leased by an operator.
OU16 EUY was shown by Bryans from Denny in Stirlingshire.
Another of the new vehicles on show, with the North Pier in the right background.
Ingleby's of Fulford, York had FJ16 PHF.
Time for a wash and brush up! BJ15 AWH entered by Edwards of Llantwit Fadre, Mid Glamorgan.
